　　Sodium alginate has been used for warp sizing, finishing sizing, printing sizing and so on for a long time, but it is mainly used in printing sizing. Sodium alginate is used as reactive dye color sizing and has unique properties. The fiber reacts with reactive dyes to fix the dyes on the fiber, and the printing paste used in the dyeing process should not interfere with or participate in the chemical reaction bonding. If the color paste participates in the reaction, it will be fixed on the fiber, which will cause the dyed fiber to feel hard, brittle and have a bad color. When sodium alginate is used as printing paste, it does not affect the dyeing process of reactive dyes and fibers, and at the same time, the printed pattern is clear, bright, with high color supply and good hand feeling, which is not only suitable for cotton printing, but also suitable for wool, silk and synthetic fibers. Sodium alginate with medium viscosity and low viscosity is suitable for the requirements of color paste from screen printing to drum printing.
